What is the best supplement to take to gain weight ASAP?

Iam a guy in his twenties and I weigh about 120 - 125 LBS last time I checked. I am 5′6 tall and I just quit smoking about a 6 months ago because it has really been detrimental to my health. I smoked for about 4 years straight a pack a week. I lost about 10 lbs because of this and my weight was constant at about 120 from 135. Now with my new resolutin I want o gain my weight back and have had problems no matter how much I eat. My doctor says that I am in generally good health and that I am naturally am unable to store alot of fat because I still have a high metabolism and burn the energy relatively fast. Anyway, after all is said and done, I want to gain weight asap and want to find out what supplement to take like a wieght gainer and protein combination. I will take anything as long as it is healthy and legal but dont know the products Do not tell me to eat lots of food because I been there done that and that is no good.

    My name is Kevin and I am a certified Personal Trainer and have been for over 13 yrs. I also work at a community college in the athletic dept. as a sports and conditioning consultant. My recommendation is Cytogainer by Cytosport, it is awesome, but eat as much good clean things as you can. Up your carbs through potatoes, pastas, etc… Let me know how you do.     If you can’t be swayed from what I consider a bad choice, I’ll tell you where to go. Find your local GNC (general nutrition center) store or other store that sells herbal supplements for body builders and jocks. (And don’t take my word for it alone because I won’t use the stuff.) The supplement that I’m told is most effective is called Creatin (not positive on spelling). Talk to the sales associate about what to use. Go talk to a personal trainer and ask what workout would be the best for your build to enhance muscle growth. And finally consult with your doctor to make sure all of these things will be safe for you. I recommend letting nature take it’s course as far as weight gain, but if your mind is made up, then go for it. I have a friend that’s taller than you and thin. He can’t even gain weight with creatin and body building. If this doesn’t work for you just give it time. Your metabolism should start slowing down around age 25. And PLEASE, if it seems to be anything even SIMILAR to steroids (even if it’s approved), DON’T USE IT! All of those things have nasty side effects.

    that trainer dude should have been able to give you better advice…

    1st. You must attempt to work out and gain some muscle mass and commit yourself to working out.

    2. Purchase 100% whey protein. Take a gram per pound and take mostly after your workouts…have a little in the day save the major parts for after exercise.

    3.) creatine creatine creatine…you must must have this. GNC, Vitamin shoppe etc etc

    4.) dont waste your efforts on anything that doesnt build big muscle..this is not a time for jumping rope or yoga..

    5.) eat like King…6-8 meals a day…
