I had my little girl in August 2009; but my energy is not there. I was advised to take B-Complex and Prenatal Vitamins ( Prenatal Vitamins helps better with anemia). So, I have been searching for Prenatal Vitamins that have a high level of biotin because I don’t want to have to buy so many vitamin supplements. Can someone please help me?

I know there are many foods and/or vitamin supplements that can be taken for hair “health”, but what is the one “super” vitamin (supplement) that really does the trick?

Is it vitamin E? Vitamin B? Omega fats?

Thanks in advance

~*Elle*~ asked:

I’ve recently been diagnosed with Coeliacs disease.I am considering taking diet pills/supplements but have heard that my body may not absorb them because of my coeliacs..my doctor told me that vitamin supplements probably wont work for me but what about diet pills?.im not on the gluten free diet (yes i realise i should be because of the risks) but if i take pills for boosting the metabolism and other ‘diet pills’ that do not contain gluten will they work??

Please don’t answer if you are going to tell me that i should be gluten free or that diet pills don’t work because i have read alot of information on both of these issues and understand what i am doing.

I read some places, that say you should definitly take vitamin supplements to get all ur nutritional needs. Other places say yes take vitamins but make them food based vitamins. Other places say dont take a multivitamin, take a whole food supplent. And some people say that the vitamin pills can harm you What is true, do they harm you. What is the difference between these things? I don’t take anything now because it is all confusing to me. What should I do?

Do you have to take vitamin D with calcium supplements? Should I even bother?

I take a calcium suppliment that has magnesium and zinc along with many other vitamins. I have also read on MSNBC that calcium actually has had no effect on bone health for women. Should I even bother taking the suppliment?

Derridean asked:

In one book I have written by a naturopath, she says not to take supplements whilst on a detox, but she doesn’t explain why. Maybe because you are already getting maximum vitamins from all the fresh juices etc that any excess will just be more stuff that your body needs to excrete, and therefore it might actually inhibit the detox? Just a guess, but if anyone has any real knowledge about this, let me know!

Is eating only amino acid, vitamin and mineral supplements better than eating organic diet?

I’ve been advised to take a multivitamin, a vitamin C, and an omega-3 supplement to keep healthy. Two questions: are they necessary? and if not, surely they’re not doing any harm?
