First oxy clean does wonders. Another idea would be to get either frebreeze in the spray bottle (try the anti microbial - orange trigger bottle frebreeze) and put about a cup in with your detergent. For some reason it takes smells out. Frebreeze ALSO sells frebreeze specifically made for laundry smells in the laundry section of your grocers. I have used the spray bottle before in the laundry because i was too lazy to go out and by the laundry frebreeze (it comes in a pour bottle like laundry detergent)..........
