Men’s diet/supplement(s) for improved sperm MOTILITY?

SeaShells asked:

My husband had a semen analysis done last May and found out that his count (215 million), his sperm volume (forgot…), and his sperm morphology (90%) all looked good. Unfortunately, his motility was only 40%. Now, where we live, a semen sample must be collected at home and driven to the lab at the hospital in a cup provided by the doctor’s office. It did take about 40 minutes to get it to the lab, and my gyno said that could have affected the sperm motility. She said it would probably take us up to 16 months to conceive.

Well, we didn’t conceive & Monday I had surgery & found out I had endometriosis on both ovaries. My doctor burned it out & said we should be able to get pregnant now! =)

I want to know if we can improve our odds by helping my husband’s sperm motility in some way. Is there a supplement or diet that will help? I saw Fertilaid for men online, but it’s kind of expensive & I hate ordering things online. Would anything like that be sold at GNC or another vitamin/health store?

1000 mcg daily of Vitamin B-12 can help a man’s sperm motility. Also Vitamin-E can help with it too..

Good luck to you!! Werita Cuerpo

Zinc is usually recommended, but a healthier diet is usually the best thing. Eliminate the alcohol, fast food and junk food. Increase fruits and vegetables. Makes a big difference. Fast food and junk food are probably the biggest cause of poor sperm. That makes sense. Doodlestuff
