    MgCl2 is well suited because it is readily soluble & absorbed

    one might say that MgCO3 is not soluble in water, & so it can not be absorbed….
    but when it hits the stomach acid it is converted to MaCl2 & can be absorbed
    its difference is that it neutralizes stomach acid & produces CO2 gas…
    imagine swallowing alka-seltzer tablets without allowing them to giv off the gas first
