Lack of calcium causes osteoperosis, almost every female in my family has it.Its most common among women.Just drink lots of milk and take a multi vitamin every day.

I think a good well balanced diet with lots of leafy green veggies will do well for you. I think supplements can set people off balance ( Unless older women who might need extra) and often are not absorbed as well as the Calcium in food is. If you are young, trying to gain just eat well ( but try and balance the carbs and necessary fats too) and a lot

Yes, You need calcium no matter what, especally if your a white woman (no offense, but studies have shown white women are more prone to it). Your body need calcium for bone growth and maintainance. Don’t forget the vitamin D also because that is what helps your body absorbe the calcium

Weight bearing exercise (aerobics and weight training) actually helps build bone density. So, as long as your eating normal amounts of calcium, I wouldn’t think you’d need a supplement. Have an extra glass of milk a day if you’re too worried about it.
