Right. Take a multivitamin instead. It gives you everything in one go. If you still want take some vitamin C tabs but you wont need a B vitamin as they have plenty in multivitamins. Have you had your blood checked out? Doctor can tell yuo what you need. Good luck hope you get healthier

Nothing can replace “food derived” vitamins, but supplements are better than nothing. Vitamins are either water soluble or fat soluble. Your vitamin c is a water soluble vitamin and that means that even if you overdose on it, that it won’t harm you. Still you should only take one per day (along with a multivitamin) to ensure adequate administration, any more than one tablet will just give you expensive urine and no additional benefits.
The vitamin B’s are fat soluble, so you must be careful not to OD on them, one 50mg tablet of either a B complex or B6 should do it, any more stores in your body and can have many adverse manifestations.
Good luck and add some fruits, veggies and nuts to you diet. Nothing can replace the wide range of their benefits.

That’s a generous daily dose, but it’s simpler to just take a multivitamin. It’s actually pretty hard not to get in enough vitamins, but a supplement is good insurance.

Ok me personally I take 500mg of vitamin C a day. Here is the thing with C .. you body will only absorb so much then you will pee the rest out.
With the vitamin B if you take a multi vitamin there is enough in for daily allowance. I stick with a woman’s multi we need certain vitamins more so then men and vice versa. Vitamin B, K, and E are a few. I just take Schiff woman’s multi.
Good Luck

Usually, a tablet a day is enough to cover your daily needs (80mg). But if you’re a smoker you could take up to 1g of vitamine C a day(which reprensents at most 10 of your tablets) at various intervals in order to replenish your body stock of anti-oxydant vitamin C. There is absolutely no risk if you take A LOT if vitamin C, because the excess is just washed out in your urea. Beware though, that the vitamin that comes from a natural source (lemon, kiwi or brocoli for instance) is better assimilated by your body than a synthetic one from a tablet.
For the vitamin B, it’s hard to answer because it’s not ONE vitamin, but many different. And the needs really depend on your life style. Check this site (they sell supplements, I know, but their vitamin glossary is quite good) :

You can take large amounts of C and not feel a negative effect. I would recommend 1000mg/day. Vitamin B on the other hand can cause some problems if you take too much. The best thing to do is get a B complex. This is a combination of B12, 6, etc. You can take 1 or 2 a day. I purchase my vitamins from Hi Health, but if you do not have one in your area, try GNC. I steer clear of getting them at drugstores or markets because they don’t tend to be as high of a quality, nor as concentrated. Another thing you should DEFINITELY take is an omega 3 fish oil. Google benefits of fish oil and you will see that it has many, many different benefits.
