yeah it tricks ur body into thinking its pregnant, and so subconsciously, it makes you less adventurous and want to stay in more. Apparently studies have found, it makes u want to stay in more.
Also, a recent study I read found that womans natural scent changes when on the pill, and men find it less attractive, as it signals that she is pregnant..
Womens perception of smell changes too, and they find the scents of closely releated guys more appealing (family members who can protect) and those guys with a very different immune system less so. For women not on the pill, the reverse is true and they find guys with less in common in their immunie system more appealing, smell wise, as they they create healthier offspring who are immune to more diseases. That is why I will NEVER go on the pill again!!! I have tried several, I it just make me put on weight and one i tried even made my period pains worse, and the others just made me want to stay in…i remember how I was at the time, and I have so much more vitality now. salad_85

Yes, there is an inersting website about people that have had negative side effects, myself included. If you type in google things like
the pill depression
the pill anxiety

etc you will find a lot, I had a very bad time on Celeste *~*~* Princess *~*~*

Well, from the medical perspective, the OCP has been around for quite some time and we’ve not seen much in the way of an increase in mental health issues in women using OCPs. If it were a conspiracy to somehow affect mental health that was an international cover-up over many decades, surely post-marketing experience would’ve revealed this, but it hasn’t. Conspiracy theories are great when they can be substantiated by hard data, but there’s not a shred of hard data to back this up.

OCPs are big money makers for drug companies. The last thing they need are lawsuits by patients taking their products. Drug companies are in the business of making money, not being the victims of class actions suits. I have nothing but contempt for drug companies, but it’s for greedy practices in providing needed medication to patients rather than conspiracies to poison the public. R. Gaspari

I’ve never heard of that. The only thing I’ve heard is that the contraceptive pill can cause mood swings as one of its side effects. Never heard of other mental problems.
