Diet pills: Beneficial or Not?
Raynebow_Diva asked:
I’m in my 3rd week of completely changing my health lifestyle. I’ve cut out all fast food, sugary snackfoods, drinking lots of water, eating fruits & veggies all day AND walking minimum 40 minutes a day. I already fell so much better enregy wise. So im on the right track (i hope:) But im interested in trying a diet supplement, maybe Relacore or Slim Quick to help increase my metabolism and drop excess water weight. Are these above mentioned pills any good? Suggestions on other products?? Or advice on whether or not i should take them anyway!

If any of these diet products actually worked, then I don’t think there would be any of us fat people any more. I wouldn’t take anything unless you consult your doctor first. purpledeucegirl06

My experience…as soon as you stop taking the pills, you gain the weight back. Not worth the heartache dunno

It doesn’t sound like you’re changing your health lifestyle.
–Are you ever going to eat fast food? (yes)
–Are you ever going to eat sugary snacks? (yes)
–Are you going to ever stop walking at least 40 minutes each day? (yes)
Taking a diet supplement isn’t going to do anything to help you change your lifestyle unless you plan on taking them your whole life.
If you want to lose weight, don’t just cut out all of these foods. You are going to replace the foods you take out with calories that may not be bad for you.
Learn how to eat in moderation–meaning if you want a piece of cake, learn to be happy with half of it instead of a whole piece. You can ALWAYS overeat–including veggies and fruits.
Also, try different exercises too. FaZizzle

Okay, diet plans, diet pills, diet this and diet that.
For free, i’ll tell you how to do it: Drink a slimfast milkshake in a can for breakfast, with a couple pretzels.
For lunch, eat a salad - the biggest salad you can manage to eat. Leave off the croutons and don’t drown the thing in ranch.
For dinner eat a piece of chicken, and another salad. Even enjoy a diet coke if you want.
And once a day, run or walk for an hour.
That’s it - forget all the stupid, expensive, ridiculous diets. You are doing great, so far, don’t waste your money. 99% of supplements and weight control stuff just go right through your system into the toilet. Just about everything you buy at a Pharmacy or GNC is worthless. liver_n_jello

YUCK! I would NEVER take anything thats supposed to “help” you in loosing weight. What you are doing is Awesome!!! Its only been 3 weeks so im sure that you will start noticing more and more better results. There is no need to take a pill to “force” your metabolism to act faster.. it will come back to haunt you. Do it the honest natural way and the results will stay with you longer
Good Luck and Keep it up!!! BrookieB

Wow!
It sounds like you’re doing great!
At this point I would say that taking a diet supplement isn’t necessary.
You are already feeling the benefits of your new lifestyle…which is a really good sign!
So, as you continue to do all the right stuff for your body (such as all the things you have changed-huge kudos to you!) your metabolism will adapt on its own.
My advice is to stick with the natural strategy (and no, taking in diet supplements is NOT natural…there is a difference between vitamin supplements and diet supplements).
Good luck with your new routines.
You are awesome! Cutie

Hey, I’ve been down that road before. Whatever you do, don’t take diet pills. It’s not worth it and it sure won’t give you the results you want. We’ve all heard the saying “Slow and Steady wins the Race”, keep doing what your doing. Eating Fruits and Veggies, Drinking Lots of water, cutting out sugar aka “Junk Food”. That’s all you need to do. Take Care! lisathechef7

now i’m a big girl myself and i’ve always had trouble losing weight. especially living in a home where fried chicken is king….lol.
i’m weary about diet pills ever since my friend dropped 40 lbs and was diagnosed with cervical cancer. honestly, i think they’re dangerous. you should try something that’s more hollistic. i’ve been taking these herbs by a man who lives in compton, california and they work wonders. it’s called new body products. they have supplements for all your health needs. you might also want to try doing an herbal colon cleanse as well. it elimates excess weight from all the junk food and stuff. i used the one called ckls and it’s for you colon, kidney, liver, and spleen and it really cleans you out. it’s a great aid in dieting. after the cleanse i lost 12 pounds in human waste alone.
for more info you can check out: and
keep on doin whatcha doin, miss diva!!! i wish you the best of luck!
i hope this was of some help… sista the unappreciated soul

Sounds like you are on the right track. Just keep at it, it takes time to see results.
If you decide to go the weight loss supplement route, go natural.
They can be a benefit to a good diet and exercise program. There are two all natural diet pills that are safe and have no side effects. They are Cha de Bugre and Hoodia Gordonii.
Cha de Bugre, is a new weight loss supplement that is growing in popularity and is similar to Ma Huang (Ephedrine) without any of the bad effects. Cha de Bugre is from Brazil and has been used there safely for centuries. Cha de Bugre provides energy, fat burning and appetite suppression that benefit weight loss. Cha de Bugre also has additional uses that are known in Brazil that include being used as a mild diuretic, a cellulite reducer, aides in reducing herpes simplex outbreaks and a heart tonic. You can find more about it at. com/cha_de_bugre.html
Hoodia Gordonii is a natural appetite suppressant derived from a South African cactus that the bushmen have eaten there for thousands of years. You need to make sure you get a strong pure hoodia that is certified to be genuine. Check out Totalink’s unbiased Hoodia comparison at. com/hoodia_comparison.html in the “Confidence” column it will indicate if the brand is “Certified”. These Hoodia brands have the credentials to back up their product. Also in that column it will indicate if the brand is “Returnable”. These Hoodia brands allow you to return opened bottles and get your money back. I think this indicates that a company has confidence in their product that it works.
Keep in mind that Hoodia Gordonii alone provides appetite suppression but not fat burning. Cha de Bugre is a fat burner but not as good as hoodia with appetite suppression. There are also brands that mix Cha de Bugre with Hoodia Gordonii and other weight loss herbs like Green Tea that can increase both fat burning and appetite suppression.
I have written a lot of articles on Hoodia. Just search Yahoo or Google under my name “Andrew Aitaken” to find them.
Remember, you should always consult your physician before taking any diet pill or weight loss supplement. Andrew Aitaken
