chloe asked: Would mind answering some questions? I’m trying to decide which diet to choose for my baby, and I want to find out as much as possible.
Did you have any vitamin or mineral deficiencies?
Did you take supplements?
Was it difficult growing up in a society were most people eat red meat?
How is your height and weight?
Anything you want to share about your experiences?
Please I don’t want to hear from meat eaters who think these diets are completely wrong, unless you have followed one of these diets for a while. It’s really important for me to get some info on this subject from people who have experience.
rob lou, actually most infants do eat meat after six months.
And also, I’m asking for when she gets older.

veggurl21 asked: I am a vegetarian because I care about animal suffering, however I also care about the environment and my health. Lately, I have been drinking a bottle vitamin water everyday - mainly the XXX flavor which means triple antioxidants. Vitamin Water of course contains many vitamins including B12. If I drink this consistently everyday, would this be a good alternative to regular vegetarian vitamins?

Anaselena asked: I wrote to my local health food store, and they cannot guarantee that the Omega-3 pills they carry do not carry seal oil - vaguely referred to as ‘fish oils’ - AND I wrote to a large vitamin company, and they said that they are working on it.

Moroze asked: What is the proper way to combine foods to get complete proteins? Except soy, what are good substitutes of dairy products? Are supplements absolutely necessary for a healthy vegan diet?

bamakathy asked: My husband and I are both obese and need to lose 80-100 pounds each. A friend recommended a raw food diet, where you eat as much as you want without having to cook. Does anyone know where I can get info on how to begin, any supplements/vitamins that would be necessary (or how to get everything our bodies need from this type of eating), without me having to order a book?

Joey Pan asked: I would like to become a vegetarian but I want to do it in a healthy and intelligent way. I also work out very often, so I am worried about my protein levels effecting my health. I was just wondering though how to make up for some of the protein? I have thought about taking Whey protein but someone told this may be unhealthy depending on certain blood types. Is there any other good foods or ways to supplement protein into my diet?

Frustrated Boi 757 asked: I am 5′11 190 lbs, Medium build, in shape and I follow a Calorie Restriction, Extreme Low Fat and Vegetarian Diet. My calorie intake is between 1500-1600 calories a day and I never go over 6-8 grams of fat a day. My diet consists of ONLY plant material and grain. NO MEAT PERIOD! Not even fish or dairy. In conjunction to my diet I have also been taking B12 supplements 1000 mcg a day.
I have been eating plenty of fruits, vegetables, beans, whole grain rice every day and peanut butter and nuts just once a week for a treat. In addition I have tried some Vegetarian meatless products such as Boca and Morning Star and they have tasted great.
I feel so much better. I have more energy. The first few nights I changed over to Vegetarian, stopped eating meat and ate plenty of fruits and vegetables I have a hard time sleeping. Like It wasn’t time for me to sleep & I had more energy. Is that normal?
Any advice on how I can enhace my diet? Any good suggestions to a new Vegetarian?

Here Today asked: I love mushrooms and my wife is moving us toward a diet with less meat and dairy (per her research on nutrition including having read The China Study), so I thought it would be fun to cultivate mushrooms. Maybe Shiitake and Portablella but before we choose which, I would like help in determining which have the most health benefits (including if you cook them do you remove their benefits) and which you can grow on your own.
