“prenatal vitamins, for mum’s to be” i can take these starting now yes? im going to see my doctor again soon, (for another thing but il ask anyway) but i brough them and read the packet and they say for pregnant women! so its ok to start taking them now yeh?

Natural Supplement to increase fertility?

Thai TTC #1 asked:

Hello ladies!! I’m currently in cycle 18 TTC baby 1, after one miscarriage earlier this year. I have a few more months until I go and see a fertility Dr. So I was wondering if there are any NATURAL supplement or herbs to increase fertility or chances of conception. I have been taking folic acid and prenatal vitamins. I’m just looking for something i can pick up at a health food store that will help. I’ll get into the medical stuff in a few months once i see a Dr I’m sure, so I figured i’d try a couple more months to do this as naturally as possible. Thanks in advance and baby dust to all of us TTC. Keeping fingers crossed for Holiday BFP’s!

Men’s diet/supplement(s) for improved sperm MOTILITY?

SeaShells asked:

My husband had a semen analysis done last May and found out that his count (215 million), his sperm volume (forgot…), and his sperm morphology (90%) all looked good. Unfortunately, his motility was only 40%. Now, where we live, a semen sample must be collected at home and driven to the lab at the hospital in a cup provided by the doctor’s office. It did take about 40 minutes to get it to the lab, and my gyno said that could have affected the sperm motility. She said it would probably take us up to 16 months to conceive.

Well, we didn’t conceive & Monday I had surgery & found out I had endometriosis on both ovaries. My doctor burned it out & said we should be able to get pregnant now! =)

I want to know if we can improve our odds by helping my husband’s sperm motility in some way. Is there a supplement or diet that will help? I saw Fertilaid for men online, but it’s kind of expensive & I hate ordering things online. Would anything like that be sold at GNC or another vitamin/health store?

We are planning on trying to conceive in about 6 months, when should I take prenatal vitamins? My doc said wait until I am pregnant, but I’ve heard others say do it a few months before. Also is the women’s one-a-day vitamin good enough to take right now?
