Will I encounter any trouble travelling with vitamin supplements to Europe?

the-ho-knows asked:
I will be flying into London, travelling by tourbus around Europe, and flying out of Paris, for 14 days. I am planning to bring some various vitamins, herbs, and medicines (like valerian root, to sleep on the plane, and Alleve or ibuprofen) in one of those Mon-Tue-Wed pill containers to save space in my bag. Since these are unmarked, has anyone had any problems with airport security (or border patrols?) confiscating them?
It’s not that I’m concerned that what i’m bringing isn’t allowed in Europe, it’s that some of them look like powder in a capsule, and since it’s unmarked, i have no way of verifying what it is….anyway, has anyone actually HAD medicine/hebs/vitamins taken away by international airport security?? that’s all i want to know…
