Mrs Chad Michael Murray asked: this is wot ive got so far-but i need enough for two sides of a4-and i have curently only got enough for half a side: Coeliac disease can be kept under control and further problems prevented by completely eliminating gluten and related proteins from the diet. Supplements of vitamins and minerals may also need to be taken for a short time to counter-act any previous deficiencies. There is a good range of gluten-free foods available as well as recipe books.
Improvements begin within days of starting a gluten-free diet. The small intestine is usually completely healed in 3 to 6 months; individuals start to regain lost weight and are able to lead a normal and healthy life.
Patients are advised to see a dietician for guidance on foods that are gluten-free and to monitor their progress carefully. Foods that contain wheat, barley and rye should be avoided. There is growing evidence that most adults with moderate coeliac disease can eat oats.
college work
tried the nhs websites-but they wernt very helpful

Jakeness asked: My grandmother suffers from intense gouty arthritis and has been hospitalized numerous times in the previous years. Other than changing her diet and excercise, are there any highly renowned supplements that have had alot of positive reviews? Cherry supplements seem to be popular but I cant seem to find any that encompass a variety of natural herbs. Any advice is appreciated, thanks.

drtim asked: I am conducting research on the amount of nutrional advice and oversight physicians are providing to their patients. There seems to be a great deal of interest in the general population but many fellow physicians have failed to recognize this or act upon it. I am using FDA approved testing that is covered by Medicare and most insurances and provides a wealth of information on nutrient deficiencies. It also provides guidance on replenishment so that patients can know exactly what they are lacking and how to fix it. I believe this type of valid data can allow the majority of physicians who are not comfortable ith this area to give good advice. I am trying to provide an effeicient model for physicians to follow. I would like feedback on this and experiences of what has worked or not for others. Thanks

laura asked: I have had no saliva x 2 weeks. I also have a large canker sore on my tongue due to this and a lump on the left side of my neck. I saw an ENT and he said that the lump was lymphadema from the canker sore but has no idea about the fact that I have no saliva.
My only change has been taking some herbal supplements due to cutting out wheat, soy, and dairy from my diet.
The supplements were: Adreset (for adrenal support) St. John’s Wort, Multi vitamin, Fish Oils, A pro-biotic and a drink supplement called Ultra Inflamx (supposed to provide nutritional support and decrease inflammation in the bowel).
I have stopped supplements x 1 week and there has been no resolution of my saliva.
I have had all kinds of lab work done lupus, sjogrens disease, etc and everything is normal.
The only other thing I can think of is that I have been consuming alot of rice products: rice syrup, rice protein, rice bran….???
I am puzzled and so are physicians. If anyone has experience with this, please help. I have been without sleep for awhile now due to constantly waking up to drink water for a dry mouth.
hmm did i put this in the right category?

careercollegestudent69 asked:
My father in law has been a 25 year alcoholic, and the doctor has convinced him to stop. His liver is still about 30 percent operational, but the doctors say like they do not know what type of diet or vitamin supplements he should take to help with functionality. Even the dieticians are stumped. QUACKS!
