lycaedon asked:
I just moved to China, and I’m trying to find out the legality of nutritional supplements related to bodybuilding. I’m talking about protein powder, creatine, clenbuterol, l-glutamine; are these legal in China? What is or isn’t legal? Where would one go to purchase these things in China- the pharmacy? Online? Specialty stores? I appreciate your help.

PO asked: For example, can someone bring in a year’s supply of vitamins and minerals? How about a year’s supply of prescription allergy medication? Or a year’s supply of an herbal supplement, like St. John’s Wort (which would be over 1,000 capsules)?
Also, could someone have these sorts of items shipped to them in China, or are there regulations against that?
Thanks!

neoplop asked: I will be travelling to Hong Kong next week.
I need about 50 pills each day (vitamins, minerals, herbal extracts, amino-acids, etc…) and intend to bring with me a 2-week supply of these supplements.
Will I encounter a problem when entering the country? Do I need to bring a letter from my naturopath (these are NOT prescription pharmaceuticals)?
Last, and most important, do I need to bring each product in its original bottle (that’s a LOT of bottles), or can I prepare daily doses as I normally do and just bring each day’s dose in a plastic bag?
All information is very much appreciated.
