OK, so I’m not trying to start any sort of huge controversy here…

I am a nutritionist by trade, and tend to work pretty holistically. As far as my husband and I personally, we eat whole foods, take supplements, have a family naturopath, visit the chiropractor regularly, etc.

Now, what I’m wondering is…as foster parents, has anyone had any experience, as far as natural health for the children in your care? Obviously, any children we adopt, we begin to make their health decisions for them, but while they are being fostered it is not our decision, which we completely understand. However, I understand that some workers are more flexible than others on this, and will give you the go-ahead as long as the pediatrician sees no problem.

Has anyone had any experience with regard to natural health & wellness of the foster kids in your care?

**I wasn’t sure what section to put this in, but I figured, this is where the foster and adoptive parents tend to hang, so I thought my odds might be a little better.

Thanks in advance.
Just to clarify—I do understand food issues with kids in FC…I’m not naive enough to think that they are going to immediately adjust to our lifestyle when they are placed with us. WE will be making concessions for THEM, knowing that they will be going through unbelievable grief and trauma.
