Bringing natural health supplements into Hong Kong?

health supplements
neoplop asked:

I will be travelling to Hong Kong next week.

I need about 50 pills each day (vitamins, minerals, herbal extracts, amino-acids, etc…) and intend to bring with me a 2-week supply of these supplements.

Will I encounter a problem when entering the country? Do I need to bring a letter from my naturopath (these are NOT prescription pharmaceuticals)?

Last, and most important, do I need to bring each product in its original bottle (that’s a LOT of bottles), or can I prepare daily doses as I normally do and just bring each day’s dose in a plastic bag?

All information is very much appreciated.

Hi Neo, just put everything in your suitcase not carry on(few is ok) and you will have no problems at all. I flew into HK with a suitcase full of vitamins and supplements and no one cared. No paper work needed. Your going to love HK!!
