I’m 17, I weigh around 165 and I’ve been going to the gym for a little over a month. I’ve been taking a supplement called no-xplode and have heard alot of different things about it, both good and bad. Personally, I think it works great but it’d be nice to hear the real facts from someone that knows what they’re talking about. So does anyone know the real facts about this? Is it good for me/ bad for me. What are the possible side effects? Suggestions as to something thats better and safer would be nice.

The roll of additional fiber as a supplement for a four year old cat on a raw diet?

Tim W asked:

My little guy has been on a prescribed raw diet for plus minus two months, his weight, general demeanor, appetite, coat conditioning, eyes all give the impression of a healthy young cat.

However his stool is very inconsistent it varies from hard and solid to hard and solid with a mucous excess and occasionally slightly runny. The mucous excess has been quite predominant in the last two weeks. Opinion I have received has varied from a lack of fiber to healthy process of detoxification. I am not sure exactly where I should be looking? I have been advised of two different approaches 1.) A natural supplement such as Benifiber or small portions of grated sweet potato as a fiber alternative.

His diet consists of a breakdown of :- Lamb mussel meat, Lamb hearts , lamb livers, chicken breasts, chicken thighs, chicken necks, with added multi vitamin supplements, Salmon oil, egg yokes, Benifiber (as an alternative to PSYLLIUM POWDER), an occasional treat of tuna in water.

Any other alternative fiber suggestions would be appreciated. A suggested approach and a slightly better understanding to what degree fiber is actually necessary in the healthy functioning of cats in general would certainly help.

Your advice is appreciated.

Future Cat Lady asked:

I try to eat a balanced diet and exercise and take a multi-vitamin everyday but still am often sluggish in the afternoon (even though I try to eat a smaller meal and have protein).

Have you found an energy supplement/pill that actually works and is safe to take?

Thanks!

Thank you for the response to part 1 of this question.
My little guy has had a gall bladder bypass (due to gallstones) which now discounts the gall bladder function
In this situation how should the raw diet be configured ie what is better and what is not so good (With regards his present diet)

Should I take my herbal and vitamin supplements whilst on a detox diet?

Derridean asked:

In one book I have written by a naturopath, she says not to take supplements whilst on a detox, but she doesn’t explain why. Maybe because you are already getting maximum vitamins from all the fresh juices etc that any excess will just be more stuff that your body needs to excrete, and therefore it might actually inhibit the detox? Just a guess, but if anyone has any real knowledge about this, let me know!

What fat burning/diet pills are safe to use along with exercise?

I understand a lot of people say that it’s pathetic to take diet pills or fat burning pills without exercise because most of it is made of caffeine. I am 17 years old and I play football, I want to really reduce my body fat percentage. I have been gaining weight because I have an ankle injury and I cannot exercise on it a lot. I want to use a safe supplement in small portions to help me achieve my goals.
